The Kotel Charm

“A customer asked me to build her daughter a bat mitzvah bracelet. I looked everywhere for a Jewish charm that felt as beautiful as the moment it was marking; not something that felt like a souvenir from a gift shop. I couldn't find one anywhere. So I made it myself.”

Care & Returns

Made to be worn — and to last.

14K Gold Plated

  • Put it on last, take it off first — avoid perfume, lotion, and hairspray touching the piece
  • Remove before showering, swimming, or sweating heavily at the gym
  • Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth after wearing
  • Store flat in the pouch provided, away from other jewelry, to prevent scratching
  • Gold plating wears over time with daily contact — ask us about replating if yours starts to fade

Sterling Silver

  • Same rule — on last, off first, away from perfume and lotion
  • Silver naturally tarnishes with air exposure; this is normal and polishes right back out
  • Buff with a silver polishing cloth to restore shine
  • Store in an anti-tarnish or airtight pouch when not being worn
  • Remove before swimming, especially in chlorinated water

Solid 14K Gold

  • The most durable option — won't fade, flake, or tarnish with daily wear
  • Clean with mild soap, warm water, and a soft-bristle brush to reach detail work
  • Avoid chlorine and harsh household chemicals, which can pit gold over time
  • Diamonds are secure but not indestructible — avoid direct hard knocks
  • Have prong settings checked once a year to keep stones snug

Returns

30-day returns on unworn, non-engraved pieces. Engraved and made-to-order solid gold pieces are final sale, since they're crafted specifically for you. See our full policy on balaglitz.com.
